Bernard & Cheryll’s feminine and softly romantic ballroom wedding was set at the iconic Majestic Hotel. As customer #000001 according to the receipt and with the hotel still under construction, it was a good nine months before the hotel would open its doors. With a lot of blind faith, Bernard & Cheryll went ahead and booked the venue, banking everything on the brand delivery of the YTL Group and indeed, they delivered.
The colour palette for the wedding was gold, blush pink and white. The overall objective was to achieve an air of sweet romance. Three weeks before the wedding and due to wet weather forecast, Cheryll made the call to move their rooftop ceremony indoors to avoid the stress of ‘uncertainty’. Hydrangea floral wall and white trees with gold painted trunks adorned the entrance of the ballroom. We styled the dessert bar in luxurious blush pink and gold finishing. The dance floor was the focal feature in the centre of the ballroom with gold glitter carpet, soft sheer drapes and flowy flowers.
BEST ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE:
Plan a marriage, not a wedding. A wedding is probably the closest any one of us would get to being on the pages of a fairytale. Yet a wedding is just a setting, a setting for a marriage. Whatever the décor, plan your words the most. Plan what you will say as a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend. Choose your words to love, to thank, and to celebrate. It is during your speeches and your vows that whoever listens to your words will remember them forever. Everyone is there to celebrate a relationship going strong, so make them feel cherished, loved and appreciated. As they become part of your memories, you become a part of theirs. ~ as featured in The Wedding Notebook ~
