Fun & Flirty Garden Wedding
December 16, 2009
A hot and humid weather for a garden wedding is always better than cloudy and windy. We took a big risk with Alvin & Christine’s wedding, who insisted on not having canopies but just a Plan B in case of rain. A big gamble especially on a wet December month, but one that certainly paid off because last Saturday turned out bright and sunny!
I hope you all had a good weekend, as much as I did.

09.09.09 Stylish Soiree
September 12, 2009
I was really looking forward to this wedding. Jessy is a very enthusiastic bride who contacted me in 2007! We continued to keep in touch via emails until this year when things began to materialize with the creation of an intimate Black Tie wedding at The Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

With the theme ‘Stylish Soiree”, the couple’s favourite colours of purple and blue were brought to live with the infusion of black designer sofa sets, magnetic thank you cards, imported blue hydrangeas, purple carla lilies and other detailed touches which I can’t wait to share once the photos are ready.
Have a wonderful weekend!
I Dream of Sugar & Spice { Pt 1: My New Paradigm }

The most fascinating part of being in the service industry is the endless opportunities available for us to grow if only we dare to reach out and go for it. I believe I am really blessed with all the wonderful people that I’ve met along my journey after I took a free fall from my safety zone into an uncharted territory of running one’s own business.
I gave myself 5 years and it’s amazing how fast the brand is growing (measuring against my own expectations) and how far we’ve achieved in just within these 2 1/2 years. I owe it all to my family, especially my mom, sister and my late father and brother who have been my constant pillars of strength and support. Ironically, it’s these twisted hands of fate that I am constantly on a sprinting mode. Time is to me, my most precious commodity. The world that was will never be again.
It has always been a constant mind struggle for me whether to grow or expand or diversify. All these heavyweights carry vaguely similar meanings yet totally distinct technical implementations and business directions. While a rising tide lifts all boats, I also understand the risks involved in moving too fast, too huge, too costly. Against all odds, I know my passion will carry me through in every endeavor I venture into and hopefully, my clients will also feel the essence of my passion in my service to every individual. I feel the time is right to bring our business to the next level.
In the coming months, I’ll be unveiling the latest extension to our services but for now, I shall just keep them under wraps. I’m really excited!!

Mosaic Music Events and Peak Xperience have also joined forces to leverage our respective strengths to propel our brands forward. We strive to uphold a unique position in the industry and a collaboration of such allows us to synergise our efforts for better product and service offerings. We’ve certainly made it easier for you to jump-start your wedding planning groundwork with the launch of two new and ultimately signature packages: - Wedding Essentials I and Wedding Essentials II.

Starting from August onwards, I will also be the manager of Dennis Lau and Mosaic Music Events. It’s certainly exciting to venture into the music industry. Apart from weddings, Mosaic Music Events has also carved its name as the fastest growing entertainment house for corporate events such as product launches, annual dinners, opening ceremonies and more. Violinist extraordinaire Dennis Lau is also in the midst of producing his maiden album which will feature all of his original compositions by projecting a fresh, modern twist with the violin and showcasing the diversification of the instrument.

We do not know how far we will head with the changes we’ve made but we will never know if we do not even embrace them with a goal in mind. I hate to remain fixated on past praises and successes because the world is constantly changing and we are only as good as our next best job. I do not want to miss the rewards that leverage could bring to both to our clients and to our services.
Classic Minimalist

Keeping it simple with accents of earthy tones, Lyanne and Derek tied the knot in a fuss-free and relaxed ambience that exuded a refrained charm of old-fashioned sophistication.
I’ve finally found some time to update the story in Decorateur. Do check out the details there and really hope you like it as much as we did!

Modern Orient Theme
November 24, 2008
The conceptualisation of this theme was inspired by old oriental significance but translated into a modern setting using sequins, pearl beads and silk fabrics. Chinese coin purse were used as place card holders which doubled as table gifts.

Happy Prints & Chic Blooms

Young, vibrant, bubbly and cheerful. Playing with chirpy, daisy, meadow prints are just so fun. Just planning this theme makes me happy!

I like how the lights are reflected against the walls, giving it a subdued rainbow effect.

Then when we dimmed the house lights and switched on the yellow spot, it gave this beautiful orange-y sunset-like glow against the vibrant yellow, pink, orange and green.

Made these handy bookmarks, which are printed with a beautiful and meaningful puisi (poem) titled ‘Kecantikan yang Purna’ (The Perfect Beauty) by Jalaluddin Rumi.

The bookmarks match these cute little cookie mirrors that look so edible.

Love is in the Details
September 12, 2008
Weddings are usually the same. The expected rundown of programme that makes it so generic but it is really the tiny little details here and there that turn ’just another’ wedding into a great signature wedding that truly reflects the couple.
Elizabeth is of Indian, Chinese and Kadazan heritage whilst Régis is French. Hence, for their wedding, it was an avant garde affair of classic elegance with touches of eastern culture.
Elizabeth and Régis went to great lengths to ensure that their menu was special and totally personalised. From the tableware to cutleries to the exact portion of each dish, much thoughts were put in to cater to the taste and bite of every guest. French wine and champagne to complement the flavour of the food. The wedding cake was customised to match the embossed patterns on the wedding invitation and menu cards.

The lavender (french wildflower) colour and garden theme represented mother nature so loved by the couple. Fleur-de-lis monogrammed initials were carried through in moderation while a special Memory Lane walkway leading into the garden was set up, requiring guests to pen down their messages to the bride and groom. Just as the sun began to set beautifully on the horizons overlooking the golf course, the bride and groom made their grand entrance together with their parents accompanied by a solo saxophonist. Jordan Almonds and Badam Halwa were given out as wedding favours with personalised postcards of Paris and Brunei that doubled as placecards. The bittersweet taste of Jordan Almonds represents the bitter sweet of life, and traditionally, signifies health, wealth, fertility, happiness and longevity. Badam Halwa is an Indian almond candy and the combination of both signified the marriage between two cultures.

More importantly than ever, it was the gathering of family and friends who flew in from various parts of the world that made it such a beautiful occasion, with special surprise performances by the father of the groom, the bride’s family and the Best Man. The ambience was romantic, laidback and informal. The night ended with a bouquet toss, followed by an after party at The Mansion, KL.
