Hai Ka Lang Fish Head Noodles

To sample what it has to offer, first-timers may order their signature fish head noodles or the mixed seafood noodles with crab, clams, fish, squid, shrimp and laver seaweed in a briny-sweet fish bone broth that exudes rich aromas of Huadiao wine. Snacks like fried fish cake are also worth trying.  Be prepared to queue with an estimated time of 30 minutes to an hour during lunch peak hours and on weekend.

Lai Foong Lala Noodles

What began as a street stall 10 years ago that shot to local fame now occupies two shop floors on the street corner. The broth is aromatic with Chinese yellow wine and ginger.

Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice

Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice was established in 1985 by Mdm Heun May Lan. Her trademark is using 2 heats cooking method, 1st heat is for cooking the rice slowly from the bottom and 2nd heat uses an iron lid with burning charcoal on top of the claypot to cook the marinated chicken. This will lock in the juice within the marinated chicken as well as giving a perfectly charred aroma.

Heritage Kopitiam

Try their signature Nibong Tebal Prawn Mee. The closest taste to Penang-style prawn noodles. The prawn-based broth is bursting with flavours and incredibly appetising. Other recommended dishes are Mee Jawa, Roti Goyang, Cham Peng and Kopi Peng.

Sistars Kitchen

After your meal at Heritage, you can walk over to Sistars for one of the best Cendol and Ice Kacang in town. A favourite spot among locals especially on weekends.

Kwong Wah Ice Kacang

Sri Nirwana Maju

Bangsar is home to numerous popular restaurants and one of them is Nirwana, which is a go-to spot for banana leaf rice. Apart from that, their chicken briyani boasts moist tender meat and balanced flavours.
