The Bride Wore Zuhair Murad to Her All-white Wedding at One&Only Desaru, The First Ever Wedding Held Here

After that, the plan took a 360^o change and we moved the wedding to Malaysia’s newest resort; The One&Only at Desaru Coast with a resort buyout for 3D/2N, attended by an intimate list of 70 guests.  Not only was it One&Only Desaru’s very first wedding since it opened in 2021, it was also our first wedding after the lock down. 

The couple wedded at One&Only’s Villa One, a 4-bedroom villa with a 27m pool. We built a curved-shaped aisle and an enormous 2-tiered 30ft stage so that all of their bridal party could fit on it. The all-white, luxurious wedding featured white blooms of Phalaenopsis orchids on top of lush beds of Baby’s Breath, beautifully arranged by Wishing Tree. Radiating with love, Jing looked stunning in her Zuhair Murad bridal gown, a long-sleeve body hugging A-line dress with an overskirt, fully embellished by a delicate blend of sparkling sequins and crystals. The vows were short and light-hearted, much like the personality of the IT-girl and the slightly more reserved ‘man-of-few-words’ groom. 

The wedding ceremony was followed by a dinner reception at the Beach Club and an afterparty thereafter. For a cheeky touch, the guests were given a ‘booze-ster shot’ of cocktails to party responsibly. These tongue-in-cheek cocktails were aptly named as ExtraGineca, Pfeizermeister and Sinosovr.

Perhaps everyone had been cooped up at home for far too long, which made the wedding all the more fun and magical. Afterparty went on until 1am at the Beach Club and round 2 continued at Villa One. We are grateful to Jake and Jing that they chose us as their wedding planner.
